It is the mission of Alexandria Zoological Park to promote understanding and conservation of the natural world in which we live.
What We Do
Since 1926, Alexandria Zoological Park has shared the wonders of the natural world with generations of zoo-goers. Tots, teens, adults and anyone in between can gain a new appreciation of wildlife and wild places through a wide array of educational programs, classes, events and volunteer opportunities.
Come explore a natural world filled with hoots, howls, and roars right in the heart of Central Louisiana.
Alexandria Zoo has been an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums since 1986.
